Two weeks ago today we got this gorgeous mare, her 2 sisters, brother and father at Happy Trails. Her feet were so overgrown and twisted that she could hardly stand. Her muscles, tendons and ligaments were strained. Everyone was crossing their fingers that she would be able to even get on the trailer and make it here. She spent considerably more time laying down than standing. Last week, she got her first hoof trim in years and has a long road of recovery ahead. Today, after getting used to her new feet, she got to get out of her stall and stretch for the first time in who knows how long. Delilah is an inspiration.
