Meet Des! Des is a 16H thoroughbred gelding that is big, handsome and looking for his new forever home. Sadly, Des does have an old injury that will prevent him from jumping, but he is sound for walking flat work and is able to go out in the pasture and enjoy time with his friends! He gets along with other horses well and stands crosstied to be saddled and brushed.This big guy is working to pack on the pounds because he was in poor condition when arriving to the sanctuary. He is intermediate rider safe and does well with arena work, we have ridden Des English in only a hackamore and he does great! He does have some arthritis in the spots of his old injury that may require extra maintenance if you wanted to do more then walk.
