May 5, 2016: Gershwin was an endearing rooster that had been with Happy Trails for quite awhile. Before his ‘retirement’ he would go with us to events, promoting the work of Happy Trails and demonstrating just how wonderful roosters can be. Gershwin had a wonderful sponsor and was content at the sanctuary, and most recently had retired to his own yard with his own flock of hens. He passed quietly and happy at the sanctuary and will be missed.
