About Galaxy
March 20, 2015: Galaxy has been adopted! Her foster mom just could not part with her as adoption inquiries came in. She is in an amazing and loving home and we wish them both the best!
July 28, 2014: Galaxy resides in a wonderful foster home with her great pal Zagato. As you can see in our updated pic of miss Galaxy, she is spoiled with amazing care. This mare is going to make someone an amazing friend and mount. She is smart and willing and will take a minimal amount of training to get her down the trail. Call us to adopt this beautiful appy!
March 4, 2014: Galaxy has been moved to a foster home to keep Zagato company. She is still waiting to be grabbed up as she is an awesome and healthy mare. Start off the riding season with this gal!
December 10, 2013: Galaxy was diagnosed as having thin soles. She is somewhat ouchy now but the vet has recommended shoes and pads which should help with her comfort.
November 23, 2013: Galaxy has returned to Happy Trails until she is able to find her new home. She is settling in well and is loved by all of the animal caregivers!
November 4, 2013: Galaxy is a small appaloosa mare originally rescued from a neglect case in Deerfield. She was adopted out to a family who recently made the hard decision to return her. Happy Trails is looking to find a forever home for this great mare! She is respectful and courteous and seems to be a quick learner. She is green and needs an experienced handler. Once she has some training she will be a wonderful addition to any family. She is currently being fostered at Moxie Stables where a few of the girls have been working with her. She has only been ridden a handful of times, however, she now lunges with a saddle on, has been bridled, and has been schooled on ground manners. The best thing about her is her personality. She calls out to anyone who approaches the field in greeting. If you have the ability, give us a call!
