October 10, 2015: Athena has been a wonderful resident at Happy Trails. Rescued along with 8 other horses, she came to us malnourished and depressed. Over the last year not only did she gain weight, she gained her sassy attitude back! More recently, Athena has struggled with balance issues caused by an internal ailment. We helped her cross the Rainbow Bridge with dignity to reunite with her beloved Fury.
