Back at the end of October, Happy Trails took in 14 hens and 5 turkeys that were abandoned in Cleveland. During hurricane Sandy these birds were dumped in the road near the Cleveland APL. Happy Trails was contacted to help take these birds in. They were starving to death and dehydrated. At Happy Trails they were nursed back to health and made a full recovery. So far all 14 hens and 4 of the turkeys have found their forever homes. All that is left is one beautiful Tom turkey named Detective Stabler. He is large and very friendly. He can be quite vocal, especially at meal times. Detective Stabler is currently up for adoption and patiently waiting for a loving home.
