35 Rescued Bunnies! Good Grief! Can You Help Sponsor A Bunny!

I know, I know, Happy Trails doesn't take in bunnies! However, on Jan. 27th, Happy Trails assisted the Portage APL with an animal rescue involving a 20+ year old pregnant pony, a calf, and 35 bunnies. One horse was found dead at the scene. Sponsors for bunny spays/neuters are needed! Story. Sponsor a bunny. Adopt the pregnant pony or calf.

Buddy The Horse — A Delicate Matter Indeed!

Buddy, a 19 year old Quarter horse came into the Happy Trails rescue program on Friday, January 22nd. He had a painful medical problem, one that most of us wouldn't want to have to think about. Not only did Buddy have to think about it, he had to live the experience. We are hopeful that he is now on the road to recovery!

Road Rally Held To Benefit Happy Trails!

A road rally sponsored by the SUV 4 Adventure 4-Wheel Drive Club is being held on Saturday, February 27th, to benefit the Center Of Hope/Christian Cupboard and Happy Trails. It starts at 1:00pm at the Edinburg Town Hall. Here's the details!

Harold The Duck — What Can We Learn From Him?

On Tuesday, January 19th, a very sweet, white Pekin male duck was brought to Happy Trails by his rescuer. The duck had been found starving and freezing to death in the snow. This domestic duck had been dumped on an open pond. Let's have Harold's situation teach everyone why it's so important NOT to purchase cute little baby ducks and chicks for Easter.

The Great Bison Rescue — A Success! Sedona Is Now Safe And Happy!

Happy Trails assisted the sheriff's department of Noble County on Friday, Jan. 8th, to remove a group of neglected farm animals from a property in Caldwell, Ohio. Also on the side of the foothill lived a hungry, lonely buffalo. Sedona The Buffalo was safely rescued on Thursday, January 14th, thanks to the folks from The Bison Ranch in Ellsworth. Here's a very unique story!

Happy Trails Helped Mahoning County Humane Officer Remove Three Horses From A Neglect Situation On Monday, January 11th

Happy Trails volunteers helped rescue three horses from a neglect situation in North Jackson, one which had never been halter broke or handled. All three boys had not fully developed due to malnutrition, and as they recover, gelding expenses will surely add up. Here's the details.
