Purina Mills, known for their high quality grains and livestock feeds, has donated a large quantity of Purina Equine Senior to Happy Trails!
Many of the horses in our equine rescue programs are in their twilight years. They may have trouble keeping on weight, chewing with little or no teeth, or need that additional fiber to help their digestive system. Happy Trails goes through amazing amounts of Purina Equine Senior, a product that has proven success time and time again for the senior citizen equine residents of Happy Trails. We joke regularly that we should buy stock in the company due to the amount of senior grain that we go through!
Trent Ardrey, our account representative, graciously bestowed a generous amount of donated Purina Equine Senior feed to Happy Trails on behalf of Purina Mills. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Trent and to Purina Mills for the many bags of grain which we will be sure to go through at an alarming rate!!! Thanks also to Western Reserve Farm Co-op of Ravenna for honoring the coupons and helping us to get the large amount of grain — the kind folks at Western Reserve have been very accomodating and always extremely helpful!
For those of you "horse people" who are spoiling your senior citizen horse buddy and have been re-thinking his or her nutritional needs, consider trying Purina Equine Senior — Grandpa Walton, a 30+ year old Appendix gelding residing at a Happy Trails foster home, highly recommends it!
Consider these Equine Senior features: it is easy to chew; makes a mash with water (contains added bran); molasses-flavored vegetable oil added for high palatability; pre-processed pellet provides high quality easily digested roughage; provides consistent roughage for optimum hind gut health; supplemented with added vitamins C and E; and many more health-concious features. Many thanks to Trent and to Purina Mills!!!
