Many thanks to all the folks who braved questionable weather to come out and enjoy the fresh fall air on Saturday, Oct. 3rd, and enjoy a relaxing 3 mile walk on behalf of the rescued animals at Happy Trails!
Odessa the goat not only made an appearance, she decided she wanted to walk with the crowd and on the first walk, she completed all three miles! You go girl! For the second walk, she suddenly realized that the group was leaving without her, and decided she needed to join in once again. Though she didn't quite do all three miles, her heart was definitely in it, and she was a great representative for all the rescued animals!
And to all of you who drove from miles and miles away (and to our friends from the Columbus area!) God bless ya for joining us and for your participation and support! We truly appreciate your dedication and were thrilled to see you there!
And a great big thank you to Elizabeth Benshoff and the students from Rootstown High School for organizing such a fantasic day - talk about kids who care! We are extremely lucky to know such caring and compassionate teens who truly want to make a difference in the world around them! It was a wonderful event and a big success! Great job everyone! |
