Happy Trails progress has been measured in leaps and bounds over the past nine years. We started out as a grass roots organization. We were definitely not sure what to expect from Ohio's residents or how they would feel about a farm animal sanctuary in a state that has some of the most ineffective and antiquated animal cruelty laws in the country.

Well, you have now spoken out loud and clear, and Happy Trails has received support from thousands upon thousands of folks from not only across our state, but from across the United States. We are steadily growing, expanding, educating, rescuing, rehabilitating, and adopting — all because of the inspiration of a single pig named Janice who touched our lives nearly ten years ago.

As we prepare for our 10 year anniversary in 2010, we would like to invite you to become a part of our celebration team!

We would like 2010 to be one of our biggest and most effective year ever in terms of events, educational and outreach programs, animal rescues and adoptions, legislative support, sanctuary appearances, and fundraising opportunities.

As we form our Happy Trails 10 Year Anniversary Celebration Team, we welcome your partipation and input, and would like to welcome your skills and networking abilities to help us make our 10th year the most successful, most visible, and most effective year ever!
