Our friends at Mercy For Animals have just brought to light the shocking and horrific day-to-day casual operations on a typical factory egg farm, Quality Egg of New England, in Turner, Maine.

Most folks don't want to hear about news stories that are upsetting or disturbing.  Or, even worse are stories that make us think about our role in that abuse and our daily food choices. Have we in any way contributed to the extreme animal suffering that has now been documented and exposed by purchasing those products?

Sadly, this report is typical of factory egg-production facilities. This is not an isolated case. Most of what is talked about in this review is acceptable industry standards, and many people who care about animals are not even aware what goes on behind closed agricultural barn doors.

This story has been all over the news and has had a great deal of media coverage. You can first see the television news report at http://www.wgme.com/News/story_video/playFlashVideo.shtml?WGME_newsb.

You can watch the Mercy For Animals report at www.mercyforanimals.org.

And you can check out the Mercy For Animals website at http://www.mercyforanimals.org/menu.asp.

Please share this article with friends, and help expose the true nature of today's factory farms. Choose not to partipate in the animal abuse, but rather, help educate others.

Thank you for taking the time to let us share this story, compliments of Mercy For Animals!
