Farm animals make fantastic family pets!

There's a huggy horse, a grateful goat, a pudgy piggy or a delightful ducky just waiting for you to open your heart and home to provide them with some much-needed TLC!

Some of the animals may be special-needs animals due to the neglect or mistreatment from their former owners, and some are special-needs due to health issues. It truly takes a compassionate and caring person to invite a special-needs animal into your home!

Many have personalities that may match your own! What type of farm pet are YOU looking for, and who matches up with you the best?

Some are recovered fully and revved up and ready to go! Pembroke the goat has requested someone rambuncious and energetic to play with him as much as possible. He LOVES to play around and be a silly clown!

Some are more quite and subdued. Rockwell the duck has requested a serene, quiet duck neighborhood where no-one will bother him due to his permanent leg injury. He likes to hang out, nap under shade trees, and enjoys cool breezes. He'd like your company if you'd like to sit quietly under a tree with him and read a book!

Some are simply happy and easy to please. Peaches the pot belly pig has requested a sunny yard since she loves to take sun baths. She likes the simply things in life. She also requested a human who knows how to give good belly rubs. She loves to be pampered and fussed over — a litte attention is never enough!

Some are inseperable. Ariel and Solera, two Arabian mares, are entirely devoted to each other. They have requested a home where they can stay together. To reward the new home for taking this into consideration, we will lessen their adoption fee. If you have someone who you would deeply miss if they weren't in your life, you will understand how these two mare friends feel about each other.

Some are the confident and in-charge type. A group of four geese would LOVE to be your new surveillance team! They will alert you to intruders, stray leaves, people walking down THEIR street, and they can even tell time! That's right, when it's time for feeding, they proudly announce to the world that their servants are running behind schedule as usual!

Adoption counselors help you through the adoption process.

They will be happy to review with you the adoption criteria of the various types of animals. We look for things like safe fencing, appropriate shelters, and make sure that the animal has a companion animal friend. Of course no animals are permitted to be used for breeding or food production in any way, and they become adopted as part of the family! After your adoption application is presented, the counselor visits your facility, and together with you reviews a checklist of items that will help to ensure the safety of the animals and your happiness with your new farm pet.
